🌩️ SEVERE STORMS LEAVE AUSTIN REELING

May 29 brought one of the most intense storms in recent memory, leaving major damage in its wake:

• 💥 Glass shattered inside the Texas Capitol rotunda

• ⚾ The UFCU Disch-Falk Field outfield was torn up

• 🌳 Trees toppled at Oakwood Cemetery and across downtown

• ⚡ Over 70,000 Austin Energy customers lost power

⛑️ Emergency crews performed water rescues, and sadly, at least one death was reported. The city is now in cleanup mode, and cooling centers remain open. Stay hydrated, and check on your neighbors.

🚗 TESLA’S ROBOTAXI SERVICE LAUNCHES IN AUSTIN

Elon’s at it again. Tesla is set to launch its robotaxi service in Austin on June 12:

• 🤖 10 autonomous Model Y vehicles with human oversight

• 📍 Operating in geofenced zones for safety

• 🧠 Fully self-driving expansion planned later this year

• 📈 Fleet may scale to 1,000 vehicles

⚠️ Federal regulators (NHTSA) are reviewing safety due to visibility concerns (fog, rain, etc.), but that hasn’t slowed momentum yet.

🎮 BLAST.TV MAJOR: AUSTIN 2025 BEGINS

Gaming fans, this one’s for you. From June 2 to June 22, the Moody Center is hosting the biggest Counter-Strike 2 tournament ever:
